Privacy notice
Budbot is the data controller for personal data processed through Budbawts. This notice explains what we collect and why.
Who we are
Budbot provides Budbawts, an AI workspace for conversations, voice, canvases, and building personal apps. In this notice, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Budbot.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, account identifiers, login records, and authentication details.
- Content: prompts, messages, voice transcripts, uploaded images, canvas content, apps, records, files, and support messages you choose to provide.
- Usage and device data: feature activity, credit usage, diagnostic events, browser and device type, IP address, timestamps, and security logs.
- Permissions and connections: capabilities you approve for an app and account connections you choose. Camera, microphone, screen, and precise location are used only after device permission; location and live media are processed for the requested session and are not silently stored.
- Transaction records: plan, subscription status, purchased credit, and payment references. Our payment provider processes payment-card and billing details separately.
How and why we use data
We process account data, content, and transaction records to perform our contract with you: create your account, provide AI and app-building features, save your work, sync devices, and manage plans. We use usage, device, and security data for our legitimate interests in protecting accounts, preventing fraud, troubleshooting, measuring reliability, and improving Budbawts. We use consent where required for optional device permissions, non-essential cookies, or marketing. We process data when necessary to comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
Your instructions and relevant workspace context may be sent to AI service providers to generate requested responses, images, code, voice, and app changes. Do not submit highly sensitive information you do not want processed. We use content to provide and protect the service, not to claim ownership of your inputs.
Who receives data
We share only what is needed with hosting, database, AI, analytics, diagnostics, communications, and customer-support providers acting for us; professional legal and accounting advisers; and authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
Our payment provider receives data needed for product sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, fraud prevention, disputes, and transaction support. It handles that data under its own privacy notice.
If Budbot is reorganized, financed, sold, or merged, relevant data may transfer as part of that transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK or EEA. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another legally recognized safeguard.
Retention
We keep account data and saved workspace content while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to allow recovery, meet legal duties, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Security and transaction records may be retained longer where law or fraud prevention requires it. We delete or anonymize personal data when it is no longer needed. You can delete individual apps and content in Budbawts and request account deletion.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or a copy of your data; object to certain processing; withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing; and appeal or complain to your local data-protection authority. UK and EEA requests are normally answered within one month. Submit a privacy request through the support channel available in your Budbawts account. We may need to verify your identity.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encryption in transit, account isolation, restricted administrative access, and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security; protect your credentials and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Cookies and local storage
Budbawts uses essential cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security, preferences, installation, and reliable operation. We may use limited analytics storage to understand performance and improve the service. Where consent is required, optional analytics or marketing technologies will not be used until you choose them. You can control cookies in your browser, but blocking essential storage may stop the service from working.
Children and changes
Budbawts is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We may update this notice as the service or law changes. Material changes will be highlighted in the product or by another appropriate notice, and the effective date above will be updated.
